Piers Morgan's First Guest: Oprah Winfrey

As promised, Piers Morgan has booked an extremely high-profile guest for the debut episode of his new CNN show: Oprah Winfrey.

Morgan previously mentioned that he wanted to book President Obama as his first guest. Hey, if he couldn't get the actual Commander in Chief, Oprah is essentially television's version of the same.

"No one can say that Oprah isn't a great get," Morgan told critics in Los Angeles this afternoon, Entertainment Weekly reports. "It's ridiculous. She's one of two or three of the most brilliant gets in the world. She's a compelling interview. Everyone has interviewed Oprah over the years. Is my interview as good as the ones that have been done before? She thought so. I guarantee you'll enjoy this one."
