Richmond Has Had a Great Run, But Kansas Is Too Big a Matchup
How many people had the Richmond Spiders in the sweet sixteen? Very few, I would imagine. I did, but then again that's one of the few things gong right. Kansas is, of course, still in my bracket as well, and the two teams will meet up this Friday in the Sweet Sixteen.
Richmond made it in by winning a nail-biter against Louisville, as well as easily defeating Morehead State and limiting them to 48 points. Kansas, meanwhile, had no trouble against Boston University and Illinois.
The big question surrounding this game is obvious: does Richmond have any chance at all? After all, Kansas is favored to win it all in many brackets, and Richmond doesn't have near the firepower Kansas does.
Kansas has the Morris twins, who have been playing great basketball all year. Richmond, meanwhile, has Justin Harper. He's certainly goot and has carried his team thus far, but I can't see him winning a matchup against the Morris twins.
Even if Richmond brings their best game, I got Kansas winning, though it will be closer than they would like, around 74-68.
