19 Consecutive Victories for Donald Brandt Sounds More Like It

In one of my recent posts, I touched on a topic that many should be following: A streak of 18 wins and zero losses for Donald Brandt of the St. Paul Saints.

Since that time, a glaring omission was noted that enhances the streak more than any of us would have thought.

Before Brandt’s contract was purchased by the Milwaukee Brewers, his final appearance with the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League resulted in a victory.

Once released by the Brewers, Brandt hooked up with the Na Koa Ikaika Maui of the GBL and went a pristine 15-0 in 2010 to claim pitcher of the year honours. Fast forward to 2011. Brandt has found a new home with the St. Paul Saints of the American Association and is now 3-0.

Since putting together three consecutive victories, Brandt has gone winless in consecutive starts against the Kansas City T-Bones and the Grand Prairie AirHogs. No wins or losses, but Brandt is giving the Saints a chance to win every single time he steps onto the mound, which is what every manager could ask for.

The streak is alive and going strong at 19-0. Best of luck to Donald Brandt and the Saints, and if anyone would like to follow along, click here for Brandt’s profile and the organization’s home page.
