2011 NFL Mock Draft: Baltimore Ravens Must Draft a Cornerback with Pick No. 26

With Prince and Peterson Off the Board, Jimmy Smith is the Answer in Baltimore

Baltimore needs to address its secondary like Charlie Sheen needs to address his mental state.

The Ravens only have two cornerbacks under contract for next season, and one of them, Dominique Foxworth, will be returning from an ACL injury.

Needless to say, Baltimore needs to draft more than just one cornerback, but they should start with Colorado's Jimmy Smith, who is better than most people think.

In 40 career games with the Buffaloes, Smith had just three career interceptions, but there's a reason why: Smith only allowed a staggering 11 career completions, because teams hardly ever threw his way.

He also had 70 tackles in each of the past two seasons, proving that he's not afraid to contribute against the run either.

Though Smith turned teams off a bit with his character issues at the NFL Combine, he's a huge (6'2", 203 pounds) corner who simply went unnoticed while paying at lowly Colorado.
