2011 NFL Mock Draft: There Will Be High Wattage for the San Diego Chargers

San Diego Chargers Hope to Revamp Defensive Line with J.J. Watt

The San Diego Chargers will likely go one of two ways with the No. 18 overall pick: offensive tackle or defensive end.

But Jacques Cesaire is currently a free agent and has really struggled over the last season or two along the defensive front, so I'd expect the Chargers to draft his replacement at D-end.

There are plenty of options here, but the one San Diego will take? Wisconsin's J.J. Watt.

Watt was a force for Wisconsin up the middle this past season, racking up 62 tackles, two forced fumbles and seven sacks at defensive tackle.

His size (6'6", 292 pounds) makes him versatile enough to play end or tackle depending upon the scheme, which is why he'd fit perfectly in San Diego as a 3-4 end.
