2011 NBA Mock Draft: All 30 Picks, Brandon Knight to Detroit Pistons at No. 7

Brandon Knight Selected By Detroit Pistons in the 2011 NBA Mock Draft

Brandon Knight has declared for the draft and it's with good reason. He is poised to be a top 10 pick and it's the Pistons at No. 7.

His freshman season had it's share of up-and-down moments?like almost every freshman.

The Wildcats went on a magical run all the way to the Final Four with Knight, but Kentucky may have lost the game because of his cold shooting. He shot a horrid 6-of-23 from the floor, but did grab eight boards and dished out four assists.

It's a worthy example of the versatility that the 6-3 guard can display. Knight is a stat-suffer who can fill-up a box score with the best of them. Fantasy players will fall in love with Knight quickly.

Here are a few things to like about Knight, according to nbadraft.net:

Strong one on one player ? Excellent at driving to the basket, good body control, and a quality finisher on the move ? Very creative passer ? Quick decision maker.

His quick decision making skills are extremely rare and something that will translate instantly to the NBA.

Good Fit or Bad Fit?

Knight will succeed in the NBA because of his quick first step and superb decision making near the basket.

The Pistons have been trotting out Rodney Stuckey at the point despite being more of a natural shooting guard. It would be interesting to see how the rest of the Pistons would fare with a true point guard at the helm.

This is the perfect pick for the Pistons. The only question is if he will still be available at No. 7.
