Dallas Mavericks, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Johnson and Monday's Late Sports Buzz

The Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers are currently at the half in Game 1 of their second-round series. It looked like the Lakers would head into the break with a narrow 49-44 lead, but the Mavs proceeded to hand the Lakers four points with zero seconds left on the clock to put themselves into a 53-44 hole.

In case you didn't see what happened, suffice it to say that it was embarrassing for the Mavericks.

Either way, Kobe Bryant is having a very good game so far, as he leads all scorers with 15 points. Looks like his ankle is just fine.

Elsewhere in the world of sports on this late Monday night, today is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's 39th birthday.

I must say, he looks pretty good for a guy who's pushing 40. Better yet, his new movie, Fast Five, did quite well at the box office over the weekend.

There's definitely plenty to talk about. For all the latest sports news, all you have to do is keep it here and wait for updates.
