2011 MLB Draft: Will Levi Michael's Hard Work Pay off for the Minnesota Twins?

2011 MLB draft brings Levi Michael to the Minnesota Twins

Although not the biggest crop of infielders to choose from this year compared to drafts of recent past, the Twins? selection of North Carolina shortstop Levi Michael was an overall solid pick for Minnesota.

Michael, a 5-10, 180-pound graduating senior for the Tar Heels, is a speedy, switch-hitter that can hit for power and for average.

His play up the middle is solid enough for Michael to project as a future shortstop or second baseman at the professional level.

Michael has committed himself to steadily improving each year in college, as this is the first time he?s been drafted.
