Kevin Love Proving to Be NBA's Chairman of Boards

Kevin Love grabbed 14 rebounds in a game last week at Golden State. Normally, that would earn plenty of adulation.

So what awaited the 6-foot-10 Minnesota power forward after he trotted back to the locker room? His teammates were calling him a slacker.

OK, they were joking. Still, it shows how Love has raised expectations with his phenomenal rebounding this season.

Love's 14-board game broke a streak of 10 straight games in which he had collected 15 or more. He added three more such efforts before managing, egads, just 10 rebounds last Monday at the Clippers.

"People forget that 10 is a good night,'' Love said. "The expectations are high.''
