Bruce Pearl: Tennessee Coach Cited with NCAA Violation Once Again

In non-shocking news, Bruce Pearl has been cited by the NCAA for a recruiting violation. Apparently, Bruce Pearl and assistant coach Tony Jones had verbal contact, in-person, with a recruit named Jordan Adams.

Pearl has already been docked $1.5 million per year for five years, served an eight-game SEC suspension and is no longer allowed to recruit off campus due to making almost 100 illegal calls to recruits, hosting a barbecue that a recruit attended and lying about participating in illegal actions with recruits.

What else can be done to Pearl and the Volunteers he represents for these illegal recruiting actions?

Apparently money, suspensions and what is basically house arrest in a recruiting sense have been done. One option would be to ban the school from the NCAA Tournament, or suspend Pearl for a much longer time. No action has been taken by the NCAA or school yet.

To avoid possible future penalties, it would be wise for Tennessee to fire the coach they have stood by through so long. A school can only be so loyal.

Pearl has run out of swings and has seemingly struck out at Tennessee.
