WWE: Is Christian Finally Receiving The Push He Deserves?

If you watched the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view Sunday night, you saw the return of Christian. For those that did not, after Edge retained his World Heavyweight Championship, he was then attacked by Alberto Del Rio.

While Del Rio had his signature arm bar locked in, Christian came to his friend's defense and attacked the man who put him out of action.

So is the WWE really inserting Christian into a World Heavyweight Championship Match at WrestleMania? Well, all the pieces fit the puzzle here.

Edge and Christian have quite the history. They are seven-time WWE Tag Team champions. They have also feuded a number of times.

In Christian's first stint in the WWE, they were tagged as "brothers", however, they are just friends now. Isn't it funny how the WWE changes history? However, I digress.

Del Rio was the one (kayfabe) who tore Christian's pectoral muscle, causing him to be out of action since September. Upon his return, Christian attacked Del Rio.

So it all makes sense for Christian to be inserted into the world title match at WrestleMania, but will it happen?

Vince McMahon loves to punish people who jump ship to TNA, then come back to the WWE. He also, according to some, hates Christian. He doesn't believe Christian is a main event talent. While this could all be taken out of context, it likely isn't, since Christian has never held a world championship in the WWE.

Hopefully Vince swallows some pride and listens to what the people want. It almost makes too much sense, and the WWE has seemingly taken advantage of it.

I think Vince McMahon has done something he almost never does: give into what everybody else wants.

Do the right thing, WWE, and don't make him the special guest referee. Make him the new World Heavyweight champion come WrestleMania.
