Duron Carter is finally in Tuscaloosa.
Yesterday he tweeted:
"I'M HERE!!!!!!"
That is good news for Alabama fans, who have been waiting for the problems with his transfer from Coffeyville Community College in Kansas to get ironed out. He is expected to be able to start classes next week and begin working out with his new teammates right away.
Carter is just as excited to be on campus as the fans are to have him.
Without even putting on a jersey yet, Carter joined fellow Tide receivers Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks on the prestigious Biletnikoff watch list—the award is given annually to the nation's top receiver in college football.
This is just a signal to show how not just Alabama fans, but national athletic programs respect what Carter is capable of doing.
He may in fact be the man who can fill the hole in the lineup left by Julio Jones, who left Alabama early to be a first-round NFL draft choice.
Duron is the son of future NFL Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter and was a junior college transfer that Nick Saban was able to snag this past recruiting season.
Prior to his year at Coffeyville Community College, he played for Ohio State.
