People Who Talk on Their Cell Phone In the Bathroom Gross Hoda Out (VIDEO)

Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on cell phone use in the toilet on 'Today'If you know you're in a toilet stall next to Hoda Kotb and you want to gross her out, just start talking on your cell phone. Kotb said Friday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) that she finds that particular practice unsanitary. Kathie Lee Gifford went the extra mile to point out how awkward it would be to explain the sounds to the person on the other end.

"People talk on their cell phones in the stall while, maybe, they're going," she said in a conspiratorial tone. "That's gross because you can't wash your phone." Gifford said she was delighted that Kotb was thinking through the problem, and imagined someone trying to deny they were in the toilet and then flushing.

Kotb then mentioned a book where someone had denied they were in the bathroom, saying they were just "opening a jar of peanut butter" to account for the straining noises. We've made a note to never borrow books from Hoda.
