The folks at the Gap should be breathing a sigh of relief right now.
Remember a couple of months ago when the clothing chain replaced their two-decade-old logo with something that looked like it was thrown together using Microsoft Paint, then changed it back after the Internet mobs complained? Well, it looks like they're going to be joined in the Bad Logo Redesign Hall of Fame by the folks at Comedy Central.
What does their new logo look like? It's displayed above, right next to the current logo. What, you thought it was a copyright symbol? So did I when I first looked at it. But no, the folks at CC are serious about this, announcing the new logo and channel rebranding effort today. You should start seeing the new logo in January; it's already the primary logo on their press page.
It's a bit minimalist, isn't it? It feels more like something you'd see in a modern art museum than on the channel that's brought you 'South Park' for the last 14 years. It brings one question to mind: What the hell was wrong with the old logo?
