With Melanie's bucket-list book being expanded into a column for a magazine, the girls decided to enter a Battle of the Bands contest on 'Hot in Cleveland' (Wed., 10PM ET on TV Land). Unfortunately, as happens with so many great bands, infighting led to them breaking up before the gig.That left Joy vulnerable to Rick's advances toward getting her to join his band. The problem for the ladies is that Joy was the only one who could sing. So when competition time came, and Rick ratted out their attempts to use autotune, they were left vulnerable ... and frankly, rather awful-sounding.
"What they need is a singer," Rick laughed. But Joy turned the tables on him and joined her friends on stage to save the day. This is a "classic" sitcom after all. How did you expect it to end?
