2011 NFL Mock Draft Results in Secondary Help For Niners
2011 NFL Mock Draft Pick No. 7: Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska
Billed as the second-best cornerback prospect in this draft next to Patrick Peterson, Amukamara has a high enough ceiling that many talent evaluators expect him to develop into a shutdown cornerback in the NFL.
At 6'0", 206 lbs. he has great size, skills and athleticism that he could start in the Niners secondary right away. What sets him over the top is his straight-speed, posting a 40-yard score of 4.38 seconds.

Although the 49ers are also looking for a quarterback, no one but Cam Newton are probably worth the risk at No. 7. Considering San Francisco's weak secondary last year, Amukamara gives them an instant upgrade.
