In the NBA, where amazing happens, J.R. Smith should be a poster child.
J.R. Smith is one of the most exciting and entertaining players in the world; he can soar through the air for an extremely explosive dunk or sink sweet shots from the downtown.
His highlight reel is filled with more high flying than an eagle and more throwdowns than all the slam dunk competitions put together, but his highlights would only tell half of the story.
Sure, sometimes J.R. Smith is one of the best players on the court, daresay he could be one of the best players in the NBA if he could be more mature and play more consistently overall.
Because at other times, Smith is one of the most frustrating players to watch on the court, and his actions off the hardwood are even more confounding.
J.R. Smith has conflicted with coaches throughout his entire career, with Byron Scott early on and with George Karl for the last five years. Most recently, Smith told the media he will most likely not re-sign with the Nuggets this offseason just after Denver lost to Oklahoma City in Game 2 because he was unhappy with his lack in playing time.
Still, despite all his off-the-court issues and his on-the-court inconsistency, Smith could help many teams with his stellar shooting from distance and his explosive ability to drive to the hoop.
Here's a look at which teams will be giving J.R. Smith a serious look this coming offseason.
