2011 NFL Mock Draft: Denver Broncos Take Defensive Stud Marcell Dareus at No. 2

Previous Pick: Marcell Dareus

Marcell Dareus could eventually be the No. 1 pick if the Panthers decide to draft for defense.

Him not being selected first makes Denver incredibly happy. Their defense, especially their defensive line is terrible and could use someone like Dareus up front.

Dareus burst onto the national scene when he knocked Colt McCoy out of the National Title game two years ago. Since then, teams have been keeping a close eye on the best defensive line prospect in this year's draft.

Dareus has the rare combination of size and speed for a defensive tackle. Dareus would fit in well as a tackle in Denver's system.

Dareus impressed a lot of scouts and jumped over Nick Fairley on draft boards by cracking the four second mark with his 40-yard dash time.

The Broncos need a player like Dareus to build their defense around. They were dead last in points allowed and total yards allowed.
